The non-contact capacitive proximity sensor model LJC18A3-B-Z/BY is designed to detect the presence of various objects at distances up to 10 mm. Unlike inductive counterparts, capacitive sensors can respond not only to metals but also to dielectrics (water, glass, wood, plastic and bulk materials).
