§ 02 — Description
Arduino is an electronic construction kit and a convenient platform for rapid development of electronic devices, suitable for beginners and professionals alike. The platform enjoys enormous popularity worldwide thanks to the ease and simplicity of its programming language, as well as its open architecture and open source code. The device is programmed via USB without the need for external programmers.
Arduino allows a computer to step beyond the virtual world into the physical one and interact with it. Devices based on Arduino can receive information about the surrounding environment through various sensors and can control a wide range of actuators.
Arduino Uno R3 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (6 of which can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset button.
ATmega328 microcontroller
Operating voltage 5 V
Input voltage (recommended) 7-12 V
Input voltage (limits) 6-20 V
Digital I/O pins 14 (6 of which provide PWM output)
